We Speak in Echoes

                            Cracow, 28.03.2026 - 9.05.2026
Artists:
Agata Jarosławiec

The exhibition We Speak in Echoes revolves around the unsaid, yet permanently inscribed in the body and memory. Agata Jarosławiec’s works activate a somatic archive a field in which unconsciously inherited gestures, relational patterns, and tensions operate beyond language, within the realms of affect and materiality. Here, the echo is not a repetition but a shift that destabilizes continuity and reveals the fissures between the past and the possibility of rewriting it. In this sense, Jarosławiec’s practice aligns with critical thinking about memory as a process of constant negotiation, rather than reproduction.

The exhibition explores the experience of womanhood as a space of entanglement: between inheritance, dependence, and the quest for autonomy, revealing its bodily,
material, and political dimensions.

This project is being carried out as part of a grant from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
