The activity of the Piana Gallery Foundation focuses on mapping and promoting the latest phenomena in the visual arts, with particular emphasis on the Krakow art scene. The Gallery provides a space for presenting the work of the youngest artists, including those making their debut, by including it in a broader context of the art world.
We wish to be not only an exhibition space, but also a place for theoretical reflection on art, as well as community and the environment. We will pursue these goals by holding exhibitions, educational activities, organizing meetings and lectures, and publishing.
A part of the gallery's programme will be a residency programme, inviting participants from outside Krakow (also from abroad) to take part in long-term projects.
Using our many years of experience in art promotion, animation of artistic events and educational activities (both within the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and in cooperation with other cultural institutions in Poland and abroad), we are ready to create a space that will become an important and permanent point on the cultural map of the city.
